  5. 1/2 cup onions, finely chopped
  6. 1 green chili, finely chopped
  7. 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers), chopped
  8. 2 cups water
  9. Salt to taste
  10. A few curry leaves
  11. Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  12. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Preparation Steps

  1. Roasting Rava: In a pan, dry roast the rava on medium heat until it’s aromatic and slightly changes color. Remove and set aside.
  2. Tempering: In the same pan, heat ghee. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and green chili. Sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Vegetables and Spices: Add the mixed vegetables and turmeric. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Cooking Rava: Add water and salt to the pan, and bring it to a boil. Slowly add the roasted rava, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the rava is soft and the water is absorbed.
  5. Garnishing: Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
